If you have German ancestors there might be a way. But you still need to learn the German language, that's mandatory. If you have German ancestors and are serious about this, you might want to talk to the neares German Embassy.

I really hate being the nitpicker  but for sure there is only one German Embassy in the US - you might find several German Consulates, though 

If I am wrong, and there is more than one German Embassy to be found between Canada and Mexico, this could have two reasons:
a) the GDR is back and has established diplomatic relations with the USA
b) the CSA is back, and Germany has established diplomatic relations with them
